The new release Acidcore is on its way to the shops and will be available at 1 June 2010.
It contains two tracks "Xantristico" from my Death By Fat project and "Cravatte Fun" from my Son Of Mom project.

btw; I uploaded a new EP today for release, it's called "Acidcore" and it's from two of my projects, Son Of Mom and Death By Fat on one EP.
Release date is set for June 1 2010.

I just stumbled upon an article at Hypebot named "40% Can't Name A Single Online Music Service".
It says the 40% of the UK people taking the survey never heard of any legal alternatives for downloading or streaming music legally, like 7Digital, Junodownloads, Spotify, Beatport, LastFm, .... and 85% of the remaining 60% only knows about iTunes and Amazon as legal alternatives.
I guess that the recording industry isn't smart enough to figure out how to profit from legal alternatives, as it even forgets to advertise where people can find their legal music online.
It seems that after all these years they're still busy blaming the artist fans for illegal downloading (which helps the artist a lot, not), that they forget to direct those fans to legal alternatives.
But I guess they rather fight the illegal file sharing options and spend their money on that, than to spend their money on promoting legal alternatives, which many of them are available.

We've created a new acid community on the internet, where acid lovers from all over the world can meet.
A place where acid producers, deejay's, labels, event organizers and fans can meet each other.
This place is called Acid Nation.
Acid Nation is a community website created as a Ning network community.
So if you are into acid house, acid techno, acid trance or acidcore, be sure to become a member of Acid Nation.

There are currently two Zazzle stores where you can buy products designed by me, one is the J&A Records merchandise store, where you can find products related to my music and the other is the Newstyle Art store where you can find products related to my artworks.
Also on the right side of this website, you can find two flash panels from those stores which display some of the products.
So if you are interested in one of my paintings, you can easily buy a copy at the Newstyle Art store, most copies are limited editions, so only a few pieces will be sold.

Maybe you wonder why I only started making music a few months ago?

Well, it seems like it's finally the right time for me to do so. I always wanted to make music, but because of various reasons it never happened. When I was a teenager I didn't had the money for it, nor the time. But even until a few months ago I didn't know I was capable of doing it. It just happened one day that I decided to buy a groovebox, a Roland MC-808. And from then on it just happened, and things started falling into place.
And a few weeks later I accidentally stumbled upon some websites that told me about the possibilities to release your music online to shops like iTunes, Amazon, Juno, etc... . So I thought; "why not give it a shot?", and so I did.
I just release my music for the fun of it, I don't have any expectations about it, sure I hope it sells, but if it doesn't, I won't let my sleep because of it.
Of course I appreciate it when people buy my music, and I'm grateful if they do. My music is released with the Creative Commons license, so people can share it freely for personal use with their friends, so they can share their experiences, feelings and emotions with each other.
Anyway, the music I make, is the music I like, it's in various genres. But to keep things simple for everyone, I'm releasing it under different project names, so people can find the genre they like much easier.
These are my current project names:
-Yoan : Leftfield, Experimental
-Son Of Mom : Acid, Acidcore
-Jump Or Die : Jumpstyle, Hardstyle, Hard Dance
-Metal Force : Techno
-Death By Fat : Acidcore, Hardcore, Industrial

Even though it's in various genres, my style is kinda the oldskool way, more the sound of the 90's than today's sound. It has to have that little raw edge on it, a less filtered sound.
Today's sound for me is too much filtered, and has too much effects in it, with the result that a lot of songs sound the same. I really appreciate it when a song sounds unique, rather than it fits the sound of the genre from that time. I like songs that are made as an experiment, rather, so it can be place in the right category of genre.
I don't make music with the intention that it will fit a genre and will be popular in it. No, I make it so I can express myself with it, not with the intention that it has to sell or be popular.
If people like it, good, if they don't, well fine too.

So, I hope you get the idea now about me and my music, feedback regarding my music is always welcome, I can still use it to improve myself.

So, finally I found the time for creating a new website. The content will mainly be about my own works, projects and my view and opinion about things, but will also contain articles about other interesting stuff, like social media, music industry, technology and more.
